Removing Updates from Windows 10

If you have been using Microsoft's operating system for many years, you probably already had the opportunity to face problems that appear on your computer only when the OS is updated. The peculiarity of these "problems" is that after updating the system, some temporary files still continue to be present on the hard disks of the computer and take up free disk space, which is not entirely correct, especially given the limited built-in memory on the computer or laptop. It is for this reason that we decided today to tell you about what a removal of updates from Windows 10 can be, but only using the built-in utility that was developed directly by Microsoft. It is also worth noting that this method is fairly simple and can be used by any user who needs to clean up his computer from those update files that he no longer needs.

Before you start to study the article itself, I would like to warn you that when using this method, the utility built into the operating system Windows 10 has the ability to make a total cleaning of the hard drive in order to remove not only temporary files, some of which could stored on your computer for more than one year, but also those files that are relevant to the files recovery system. Thus, cleaning the hard drive turns into a global destruction of all files, which will not allow you to further roll back the system to the previous version if necessary.

Removing Updates from Windows 10

The first thing you need is to access an application called "Search", you can use this application in the "Taskbar" by entering the phrase "Disk Cleanup". As soon as you type the first word from the above phrase in the search box, you will immediately see the same application in the search results, which you actually need to click with the left mouse button in order to authorize its launch.

In the newly opened window, you must select the hard disk on which the operating system of the tenth generation is currently installed, then click the "OK" button with the left mouse button. Now, after pressing the "OK" button, you need to wait a bit, as the utility activates the search and will scan the hard disk for temporary files that can be deleted without consequences. In the window that opens, you will be able to make a new click with the left mouse button on the "Clear system files" button, you need to perform this action for the reason that in the first list, you will not be able to click the "Clear system files" due to the fact that there are no old update files that could previously be overwritten by you or the system itself

You get to the newly opened window, where you need to tick the two completely different checkboxes: "Update log files" and "Previous Windows settings", then click the "OK" button with the left mouse button.

Once all the scanning procedures have been completed, the utility will delete all temporary files that it deems unnecessary in order for your system to be able to free up enough free disk space on the HDD. This process takes you literally a few minutes, because the utility is working fast enough and very carefully removes updates from Windows 10.

Thus, a full cleaning of the system disk, where most of the temporary files will be deleted, will take you no more than 5-10 minutes, in the extreme case, cleaning time can last up to 15 minutes. But in any case, the utility will do its job and you no longer have to think about how to clean the system HDD from all sorts of garbage and trash.
