If you want to learn about how to format a disk or partition in Windows 10 in the ReFS file system? Then, you are exactly where you will be told about this option to your operating system from the very beginning, to the very end.
I just want to clarify that the peculiarity of the method we use is that it will not need to install any additional programs into your OS. In addition, we note that the fact that everything we will tell you below can be used not only in Windows 10, but also in Windows 8, since this option was introduced into use of this option.
Initially, you need to open the Registry Editor with the "regedit" command and use it to go to the last partition on the following path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control.
Once, you can get to the last subsection, then immediately begin the creation of a new subsection. The subkey that you create should be named "MiniNT". Now, by going to the "MiniNT" subsection, you should create another one - a unique 32-bit parameter, which should be named only "AllowRefsFormatOverNonmirrorVolume". 
Note that you do not need to close the "Registry Editor", but you need to run the following command on behalf of "Administrator". You should start the "Command line" and in it write the command of the following type: "format T: / u / fs: refs / i: enable".
Do not forget that the letter "T" is that part of your system that will be subject to formatting, so be careful here. 
If all of the above is done correctly, format the disk or partition in Windows 10 in the ReFS file system should be successful, after that, you open the "Registry Editor" and delete the "MiniNT" sub-section created by you.
The deletion of the "MiniNT" sub-section is performed for the purpose that, if it is present in the system, the OS will always work in preset mode, which by carelessness can damage certain files of the system.
