If you are an active user of a personal computer, then you will like the new feature of Windows 10, which appeared in the system with the release of "Fall Creators Update", as it allows you to pin contacts on the Taskbarso that they are always available. That's only in what can offer a standard version of the OS settings, there is a small limitation, which is hidden behind the fact that the user has the ability to fix only 3 contacts on the Taskbar and nothing more. We decided to share with you information on how to fix more than 3 contacts on the Taskbar so that they can use them fully.
In fact, when configuring the Win 10 OS, you do not need to have much knowledge, because you have to: open the Registry Editor (called with the help of the search string and the "regedit.exe" command), and already from the Registry Editor, you will need to go on this one path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ Advanced \ People (how you get to the last subsection does not matter). Immediately, you must create a new 32-bit DWORD parameter, which must be named "TaskbarCapacity" and add a numeric value greater than 1 to it.
We draw your attention that in our example we use a numerical value equal to "5" and as a result, we will have the opportunity to add only 5 contacts to the taskbar, you can use a larger numerical value, which in your opinion will be the most optimal for quick access to the most important contacts.
Once you are done with setting up a new parameter, you will need to click on the "Ok" button and save everything.
It is worth noting that in order for the "DWORD" parameter you created to fully function, you must do one of the following:
- log out and log on to Windows again
- reboot the OS
- use the "Task Manager" to restart the "Explorer" (explorer.exe)
Once you have done all of the above, you will immediately have the opportunity to use contacts in the Taskbar in Windows 10 more extensively, because you can add exactly the number of contacts to the "Panel" that are the most important for you and which you use most often.
